Water and Air Researchers took part in "Water and Air Job Experiences" at Suntory Natural Water Sanctuary Okudaisen

Suntory Holdings Limited and Daikin Industries, Ltd. will jointly hold the SDGs program “SUNTORY × DAIKIN "Out of KidZania" Water and Air Researchers ~ Children Proposing the Future of Water and Air from Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan ~” for the next generation to think about the importance of “water and air” at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

The recruitment of researchers began in June, and after a rigorous selection process among many applications, 24 children were chosen from Suntory, Daikin, and KidZania for their strong desire to cherish '“water and air”.
An orientation meeting was held on August 31, and from September 21 to 23, the participants took part in "Water and Air Job Experiences" and group work as researchers at the "Suntory Natural Water Sanctuary Okudaisen," the "SUNTORY Beech Forest Factory," and Daikin's research facility "ALES AOYA."
The children experienced "helping to create a healthy forest through human intervention" and "how rain from 20 years ago becomes groundwater and natural water." During the final day's presentation, they shared what they had learned in their own words. It not only became an invaluable learning experience on-site but also gave them the opportunity to become fans of Suntory and Daikin.
After three more workshops, the children will make proposals for a future society as part of the EXPO2025 Theme Weeks program, "The Future of Earth and Biodiversity," on September 21, 2025. We will continue to advance the project, encouraging the children to express their creativity and ensure it becomes a legacy for the future.
