Expo '70 Suntory Pavilion Symbol Monument: Adornment for Sacred Sake
The symbol monument called "Adornment for Sacred Sake" was created by Shigeru Ueki, a uniquely talented individual in the world of wood carving, based on the decorations inserted into sake vessels used as offerings. Accompanied by audio from Shiro Kon, lighting by Motoko Ishii, as well as the harmony of water, this monument was a new form of environmental art.

The Japan World Exposition Association made a smart arrangement by designating every first and fifteenth day of the month as "Expo Respect for the Aged Day" on which people 70 years of age or older received special service. Visit from His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince
President Keizo Saji was responsible for providing explanatory information when His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince toured the pavilion. In this photo, His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince intently observes four "Suntory Pavilion Girls" wearing twelve-layered ceremonial kimono and other types of traditional Japanese formal court dress inside the Kyokusui Room in the basement floor as they perform the Kyokusui-no-En Ceremony based on traditions from Heian-era court aristocracy.

At the Suntory Pavilion's seventh "Lucky Seven" event, 400 visitors were given beverages from the "Queen of Ice." Men received SUNTORY WHISKY GOLD on the rocks, and women and children received Royal Crown Cola (RC Cola) and RC Q Orange on the rocks.

Spectacular ceremony for the completion of Suntory's Waterland
Suntory's Waterland (with Keizo Saji serving as a representative) was built in anticipation of the start of Portopia '81 in Kobe, as a location for Suntory Limited to exhibit. A ceremony to celebrate its completion was held on March 12 at the location itself in the eastern side of the central square within the Portopia venue.

The fourth core of Suntory's Waterland housed Restaurant Waterland with an interior resembling the cabin of a luxury cruise ship. In this restaurant, visitors could watch a fountain as they enjoyed meals paired with Suntory's whisky, beer, wine, Portopia '81 cocktails, and other delectable offerings.

The Video Zone of the Suntory Pavilion boasted the world's largest (single-screen) projection screen at the time with a height of 26 meters and a width of 35 meters. This screen showed a highly impressive video titled "Across the Skies."
