Suntory Kyoto Brewery "Exclusive Event for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai" — Born from Employee Ideas

On April 13, 2023, two years ahead of the Expo, we launched a campaign titled “Expo Action!” inviting Suntory Group employees (in Japan) to submit ideas that would help boost the Expo and create a legacy for Suntory. We received 265 applications, of which nine are currently being put into action.
One of these ideas is the "Exclusive Event for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai" proposed by a five-member team led by Tatsuyuki Nakashima from Suntory Kyoto Brewery.

In celebration of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Suntory Kyoto Brewery will host a special program from May to October during the Expo period entitled "Commemorating the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai - Discover the Importance of Natural Spring Water with Your Family."
Unlike the standard brewery tour that focuses on the beer production process, this program offers an educational experience for parents and children to learn why Suntory places great importance on natural water in its beer-making, and to explore the company’s initiatives for preserving natural water resources.
Participants will engage in hands-on experiments using models and sensory activities designed to deepen their understanding of water conservation. In addition, brewery staff members will directly explain their manufacturing processes and share their passion and commitment to craftsmanship in their daily operations.

This program is open to elementary school students in grades 3 and 4, accompanied by their guardians. Reservations can be made exclusively by phone through the brewery’s website, starting at 9:30 a.m. one month prior to each event date.
