| 説明 | Suntory has partnered with the TOMODACHI Initiative, a public-private partnership between the U.S.-J apan Council and the U.S. Embassy Tokyo to launch the TOMODACHI Suntory Fukushima Mirai Music Progra m from February, 2016 as part of Suntory Group's ”Suntory Tohoku Sun-Sun Project,” which supports re covery from the Great East Japan Earthquake. To provide children with more opportunities to “rehabil itate their hearts” through music, the Program recruited students from the Music club of Fukushima F utaba Mirai Gakuen High School, a school that was established in 2015 . The students composed origin al music and received instruction while in Japan. Once the students traveled to NY in August, they p articipated in a workshop with the world renowned New York Philharmonic while homestaying in NewYork City and performed in Lincoln Center. Through this program, the hope is for the students to gain a global perspective while realizing their next steps into making their dreams a reality. |
